Also known as the 4th Model Ehlers

In August of 1841, John Ehlers purchased parts of unfinished pistols, rifles and carbines amongst an assortment of materials, tools and equipment following the dissolution of Samuel Colt's Patent Arms Manufacturing Company.

From these parts, and some complete guns, Ehlers was able to sell Paterson firearms, mostly (if not all) modified by the addition of loading levers.
