NO. 5 HOLSTER MODEL
PATERSON REVOLVER

The “Texas Paterson”

No No. 4 revolvers were ever made.  It is thought that a revolver to fit this designation may have been envisioned, but was never produced, or perhaps the gap was done purposefully to accentuate the much larger No.5 Holster Revolver.

This is the largest framed model in the handgun series, and remains the most popular and was the most prolifically manufactured.

the US government purchased 150 of these for the Navy, and the Republic of Texas purchased 180  copies for the Texas Navy, many of which were later issued to the Texas Rangers.
